A world-wide epidemic struck the Earth in the year of two thousand and ten when one malicious scientist chose to release a half-finished experiment to cure the common household cold into society through the atmosphere. Slowly, almost effortlessly, the intended cure had now become a deadly virus that mercilessly destroyed lives, shattered homes and terrified the society. In less than a year the world was still and not a single soul stirred except for one; the equine. A year had passed since the epic virus had traveled the face of the earth to mutilate all that stood in it's path and the equines had settled into their new-found life; carriers of the deadly virus. It had affected the equine species in the most particular way that became evident when the first foals were born into the now barren land. What met their eyes appalled them, for some foals were deformed with their wings, others odd colored hoofs and hair, all seeming to have small power over the elements. The were soon seen as outcasts in the mortal equine society and banned from it. The foals teamed together, learning to utilize their power and ally with those who had powers alike. It was not long before it became evident that certain colors controlled certain elements, thus the races were formed; Xipil, Pavati, Iltamar and Aatami. Xipil was made of red roans, red roan paints and very rarely, blacks whilst Pavati was made of blue roan, blue roan paints and very rarely, whites. Iltamar was grays, dapple grays and very rarely, piebalds. Over the years their population grew and they slowly began to out number the mortal equines. In the year of two thousand and fifty an epic battle between the elemental and mortal equines ensued – and with their enhanced abilities they drove the mortals away. Allies at first the elementals began fighting over powers, eventually turning on one another. The four races separated, creating their own hierarchy and soon growing to loath those unlike them. For the years following it remained this way, the races keeping their distance from another. Slowly but surely however, the tension between the races has grown, and each try to expect the unexpected from one another.
Which race will you chose?
